The mini-movies are half-hour murder mysteries that are based on real "court cases." Specifically, the producers researched real court cases featuring spousal abuse and built mysteries around them. Each episode features the "death of a husband" or the "death of a wife." The mystery is a whodunit with "wife kills husband" or "husband kills wife" themes.
