In the opening scene we see the bride walking down the aisle with her father who seems to despise the groom. He insists the handyman is going to ruin the rest of her life. The marriage takes a turn for the worst when reality sets in and the wife realizes that her husband is unable to provide the kind of financial life to which she has become accustomed. The husband hurts his back and is soon living on disability. His wife mentally checks out of the relationship and stops cleaning the home.
